INFORMATION

NVDP (1994) is a nonbinary graphic designer. The work is visually bold and disruptive. All projects are born out of a sense of urgency, highly research based and influenced by poetry, philosophy, politics and fiction. The subjects range from counter–culture and contemporary crises to alien territory and alternative futures. Each project focusses on speculative storytelling and critical thinking.

THE NEW FETISHISM

Visual Essay
Riso Printed
240 x 180 mm

The New Fetishism is a self published series of zine’s dedicated to BDSM and kink cultures. Each issue contains historic context, political meaning, subcultures related to fetishism as well as representation and appropriation in modern fashion, media and pop culture. It invesitgates fetish in sexual as well as non-sexual contexts

The goal is to inform and offer insight in what fetish is, what it isn’t, what is should and shouldn’t be, where it comes from, what it can represent, what is influences and what it has/will/can become. In doing so ‘The New Fetishism’ hopes to open up discussion and dialogue around fetish, kink and BDSM.
